Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Science is all around us—and my goal is to help my students not just learn about it, but experience it. This project brings together a variety of hands-on, engaging tools that will allow my students to explore key science concepts in a way that's fun, memorable, and meaningful.

With the Lakeshore STEM Magnet Station, my students will investigate the forces of magnetism through interactive experiments.

The Jumbo Magnifiers will encourage up-close observation, helping young learners examine objects in detail like real scientists. The Shake & Reveal Science Cards will spark curiosity with quick, accessible facts and visuals that make learning feel like a game.

To dive into life sciences, the Sprout & Grow Plant Kit will let students observe plant growth in real time—teaching responsibility and deepening their understanding of life cycles. The Solar System and Life Cycle Viewers will offer visual and tactile ways to explore outer space and biological processes, building both vocabulary and conceptual understanding.

The Science Stencils will encourage creativity and reinforce recognition of different animals and insects while also enhancing fine motor skills. Lastly, the Microscope Slides will allow students to view real biological specimens—like plant cells and insects—up close, connecting textbook concepts to real-life visuals.

Together, these tools will create a rich, multi-sensory science experience. They support observation, experimentation, questioning, and discovery—all essential skills for young scientists. Most importantly, they’ll help my students build confidence and a lifelong love for learning through play and exploration.
