This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students know it's GOOD to ask questions. We work together to find the answers. I love helping the students find the answer to a question through exploration. STEM is a wonderful way to find these answers.

I work in a Title One school where over ninety-nine percent of our students are on free and reduced lunch.

They become excited when we do any hands-on activities. Most of them are also learning English as a second language. They need to be able to gather scientific knowledge through hands-on activities.

My Project

These STEM projects will have my students working together to solve the problem. They will be talking and thinking outside the box. They will learn higher order thinking as they learn science and math objectives. They will be able to explain their thinking to their classmates.

This project will teach my students that it is good to make a mistake .

That if your solution doesn't work, dust yourself off and try again. They will become creative, independent scientists.
