Help me give my students the opportunity for some hands-on science! These kits will be enough for all 4 of my classes to create their own individual balloon cars.
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Lisa Schweska's classroom raised $456

My Project
I teach both 4th and 5th graders who absolutely love learning. I always seek materials to encourage critical thinking skills, creativity, and curiosity. The school district I teach in has a low-income rate of over 70% and a mobility rate of more than 30%.
These essential tools will help my students complete hands-on projects, based on NGSS and our school district's standards.
The balloon cars will be a great culminating project at the end of our physical science unit. These materials will be used to design and execute a project using creative exploration and the engineering design process.
It is so important to develop scientific thinkers and these STEM projects are a great way to develop those critical thinking skills.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
