Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach life science and physical science, incorporating hands-on, project-based learning in my classroom. I also incorporate technology, helping students develop 21st-century presentation skills, and promoting inclusion and equity. My classes incorporate STEM and STEAM skills for engineering.

My students are a diverse group of enthusiastic learners who enjoy applying creativity and hands-on models to their learning.

They have a wide range of creativity and come from diverse background experiences.

I incorporate technology and engineering into all subjects of my classroom and my goal is to promote as much creative, innovative learning as possible. Many struggle with the rigorous challenges of complex learning concepts. I need additional materials to create an even greater impact on classroom learning and interventions. I want to encourage student engagement and achievement.

My students are learning technology, but I want them to learn about the engineering as well. They are studying life science and physical science, but I will have them further research sustainable forms of energy, recycling, and human impact. They will learn about innovative ways of promoting equity and sustainability in diverse communities, developing green solutions to everyday problems.

My Project

I teach biological life science classes and physics physical science classes, incorporating hands-on, project-based learning in my classroom. I also incorporate technology, helping students develop 21st-century presentation skills and financial literacy. My classes incorporate STEM and STEAM skills for engineering.

I have been making distance learning videos and communicating through distance learning, but my technology is dated and these tools will help my students when they return to the classroom as well.

These resources will enhance their understanding, research, and make learning more engaging and fun. The iPad will be used for design and 3D modeling and create educational learning videos. These supplies will create visual examples of important learning concepts and the research technology resources will provide additional information beyond instruction. These will also be fantastic communication tools for meeting with colleagues, students, and families during distance learning. Additionally, upon returning to the classroom, we will have access to the safety masks to safely apply their STEAM skills to their classroom environment.
