My students need Project-Based STEM Activities for kindergarten, Magna-Tiles, Playstix, Complete set of Science Instant Learning Centers and a mobile bin storage center.
Our day is busy discovering and learning. My goal is for my students to explore the world around them, ask questions and seek answers. I want my students to not only give answers, but explain their thinking.
My students are inquisitive and creative.
They thrive on learning about the world around them. My school is in a small rural area. Students do not have access to science museums, aquariums, zoos or extra curricular science activities at a kindergarten level. My area is considered low income. Many students do not have the resources to travel to a larger city to seek science related materials or activities.
My Project
These materials, including Project-Based STEM Activities, Magna-Tiles, Playstix, and Science Instant Learning Centers, would help my students question, discover and explore science genres. I envision my students using these materials to generate an interest in science. Students will be able to create, manipulate and try new ideas with these materials. During this process students will work in groups to explain their thinking to one another, present ideas and discover how things work.
My classroom will be greatly improved by having fun and exciting hands-on materials, for students to explore.
Students will develop a love and understand for science at an early age. They will be able to discuss, question and share information about their discoveries. I would be thrilled to have these materials. I envision my classroom buzzing with student activity!
