Help me give my students headphones and a monthly subscription to kids science magazines to keep them engaged and excited.

My Students
Our school sits at the intersection of several very different neighborhoods. Neighborhood kids walk to school, while other groups of students are bussed in from all over Philadelphia. As a result, my students are a very diverse group of learners. They are a complete melting pot of ethnicities and religions. Their families are hardworking and range from the poorest in the city to almost (but not quite) middle class. But somehow we all come together to form our own community, our own family within the classroom.
My Project
I teach 6th graders math and science. The headphones will be able to be used in both math and science classes. All students spend class time on an online math program that is specially tailored to them. Having headphones for students who are unable to bring in their own will help keep them engaged on the content and allow me to work with other students individually.
If student's see something they're in the real world, it instantly becomes more meaningful to them.
Having a subscription to a science magazine has so many benefits. The content is engaging, so they're reading non fiction, science content FOR FUN. It helps reinforce concepts we are learning in class by making it more relevant.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
