My Project
I am a special education teacher at a Title I middle school, where 72% of our 1,200 students come from low-income backgrounds. STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) projects are a key part of our curriculum, helping students develop critical thinking, communication, and inquiry skills. These projects also foster creativity, teamwork, confidence, and perseverance—all essential for success in and out of the classroom.
To better support my students, we need access to materials that will enhance their STEM experiences.
Headphones will allow them to focus on STEM project instructions and connect our Reading Language Arts (RLA) lessons with hands-on activities. Additionally, incorporating origami into our STEM and SEL (Social Emotional Learning) activities will strengthen their fine motor skills, creativity, and patience.
These resources will make a big difference in helping my students fully engage in their self-directed STEM projects, building both academic and life skills. Thank you for considering a donation to support our classroom!
