My Project

I absolutely love working with my behavior modification students in grades four through six. Each of them brings a unique perspective, resilience, and personality that makes every day meaningful. Many of these students struggle academically, socially, and emotionally, often facing challenges that impact their learning and behavior. Despite these difficulties, they are full of potential, curiosity, and creativity. My goal is to create a supportive, structured environment where they feel safe, valued, and capable of success.

One way I support their growth is by using STEM kits in the classroom.

These hands-on tools are more than just educational—they are powerful engagement strategies. STEM kits provide structured, step-by-step activities that help students stay focused while encouraging problem-solving, collaboration, and perseverance. They create opportunities for students to experience success, which boosts their confidence and motivates them to keep trying, even when things get tough.

STEM learning also helps students improve communication and teamwork skills in a low-pressure setting. For those who struggle socially, it’s a chance to connect with peers in meaningful ways. Most importantly, STEM kits tap into my students’ natural curiosity, allowing them to learn through doing—something that works especially well for students with behavior and emotional challenges.

I love seeing my students light up when they solve a problem or build something on their own. With the right tools and support, they can thrive, and STEM kits are a vital part of helping them reach their potential.
