Help me give my students access to better STEM presentations with a document camera.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Wawa's classroom raised $275

My Students
My school is situated in a high poverty area. Sadly, the budget has zero allowance at the start of each school year to purchase even some of the most basic art supplies. The buildings are old but are organized as a pleasant open-air space. The school is populated by vivacious children who are mild-mannered and eager to learn.
The financial situation for most of our students became even worse after school budget cuts.
They are still facing the challenges of coming to school without basic supplies. Now that we are welcoming displaced students affected by Hurricanes, the challenges are even greater.
Being mostly first-generation immigrants, some of the students I teach come from countries where schools barely had the minimum to teach core subjects, let alone the visual arts.
For most, art is a foreign subject to them. When they first set their eyes on my art class, I see stars in their eyes. They are mesmerized by all of the possibilities art has to offer.
Discovering the visual arts fuels their imagination and opens up their minds to their new community. The visual arts drives their creativity through an enjoyable learning process.
My Project
As a school trying to offer as many STEM activities to our students we are challenged every day by the lack of materials.
In order to compete with schools located in wealthier neighborhoods, we need to keep up with the latest technology.
We have many oversize classes. This makes it difficult for all the students to watch a detailed presentation.
With a document presentation camera, we can project any teacher demonstrations like how to use a 3D printer or build a robot. With this device, all the students will be able to follow a STEM teacher demonstration without having to take turns.
More than half of students from low‑income households
