We are embarking on an exciting STEM project that delves into the health of our native mussel population. The project aims to provide students with a hands-on, immersive experience in scientific inquiry and environmental conservation. With this dissection kit as well as aprons and scalpels, we seek to create a dynamic learning environment where students can actively engage in the study of mussel health, connecting classroom theory with real-world application. This initiative not only fosters a deeper understanding of local ecosystems but also instills a sense of responsibility for the conservation of these vital aquatic species.
