My Project

The LEGOs for an eventful night at LEAP Academy. The LEGOs be used to build examples of roller coasters to better understand force, inertia, and g-forces. Students will research famous rollercoasters and the aspects of their design. Students will then recreate that design with LEGOs as the main building materials. Students will also use the LEGOs to building the layout of a city based on research of needed utilities in a ecofriendly town. Students will research what types of resources can be added to a town to increase the ability to reduce, recycle, and reuse materials that are used by the population of the town. Students will then create a model and describe the ideas that could be added to a town to make it more environmentally friendly. LEGO Gabby's Dollhouse Bakey with Cakey Fun 10785 Building Toy Set for Fans of The DreamWorks Animation Series, Pretend Play Kitchen, Oven and Giant Cupcake to Decorate gives students the ability to manipulate what happens. what students do at home; demonstrates based off the students Unit in family and restaurant.

LEGOs will be used as the "vehicle" for students cross imagination with construction.

Students will also be encouraged to design and build their own structures. They can build examples of homes, schools, hospitals, etc. and then explain how their design is adding innovation to the typical design.
