This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Sports and science collide with the tracking of objects. Velocity can be tracked using radar by measuring the frequency shift of the returned radar signal due to the Doppler effect. When a radar wave is transmitted towards a moving object, the frequency of the wave changes depending on the object's speed and direction relative to the radar. If the object is moving towards the radar, the frequency increases; if it's moving away, the frequency decreases. By analyzing this shift, the radar can calculate the object's velocity.
The radar detector will track various objects for physics class and a sports program.
The snacks will provide a healthy option for students that can often be without healthy options.
