Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As a preschool teacher, I believe young children learn best through exploration, play, and hands-on experiences. I am requesting STEM materials such as googles, magnets, simple machines, sensory bins, and age-appropriate science kits. These items will help my students develop early problem-solving skills, spatial awareness, and curiosity about how the world works. Engaging in STEM play at this stage lays a strong foundation for future learning in math, science, and critical thinking.

My goal for this project is to nurture a love of learning through discovery and play.

Preschoolers are natural scientists—they love to ask questions, explore their environment, and experiment with new ideas.

These materials will give them the tools to do just that, in a way that is safe, developmentally appropriate, and fun. What makes my students special is their boundless energy, imagination, and eagerness to try new things. With access to these resources, they will have the opportunity to build confidence and skills that will support their growth now and into the future.
