Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our six grade classroom loves to explore the world while connecting it to Math! STEM is an important aspect of learning. Providing students with manipulatives that they can choose from that exist in everyday living will allow them to develop a deeper understand of the "WHY". These materials will be used to add to the manipulatives that we already have available in our classroom. We need tape measures so that we can do things like measure shapes and nets. We can then use plotting to understand or predict data. The options are endless with these materials!
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
