STEM Maker Space

Help me give my students an introduction to STEM in the form of K'Nex and Robotic Coding. I will transform a space in my classroom into an enrichment Makerspace that will help students think analytically and critically.

My Students

The students I teach are the most diverse children ever. I love that each has a strong personality that shines bright and brings laughter and smiles with them daily. Many face economic disadvantages but do not let them define who not what they believe about them. They deserve nothing less than the best when it comes to their education.

My Project

These materials will make a difference to these students in that they will be able to be introduced to STEM in a manner that has never been presented to them.

Lessons in coding robots will aid in students becoming more excited about computer engineering as a career path.

The K'Nex kits will be used for students to showcase their talents in design and creating solutions.

These materials are only small parts of a bigger picture of extending STEM educational opportunities to diverse populations as early as possible in school.
