My Project
I teach an energetic and imaginative group of Pre-K students in a low-income area. Despite the many challenges they face outside of school, they come into the classroom each day filled with wonder, curiosity, and an eagerness to explore the world around them. What makes my students so special is their resilience, their joy in learning, and their love for hands-on experiences that allow them to see, touch, and discover.
The materials in this project are all designed to give my students a strong foundation in STEM—science, technology, engineering, and math—through fun, developmentally appropriate activities.
The programmable robot mouse will help us begin coding in a playful, visual way. The sink or float activity set will help them ask questions, test ideas, and observe real results. Kits like The Three Little Pigs STEM challenge and the Carson Dellosa STEM cards will build their problem-solving skills through story-based engineering tasks they can connect with. The crystal growing kit and plant training kit will introduce early science concepts in exciting, hands-on ways that spark curiosity and promote scientific thinking.
My goal is to create a learning environment where science and discovery feel like an adventure—one that is accessible to all my students, regardless of their background. These tools will allow us to build critical thinking, fine motor skills, and a lifelong love for learning. With your support, I can give my students the opportunity to experiment, question, and dream like real scientists and engineers.
