My Project
STEM is an opportunity to teach students how different areas of math and science can do amazing things. With the items from this project I plan to get kids excited about STEM subjects to show that school doesn't have to be boring work, it can be fun to apply what you have learned. I plan to use the LEGO bricks and boards to help students see how math and engineering can be applied together to make strong structures. The marble run activity is also going to be used for using their learned knowledge of how gravity and kinetic energy work to move a marble. The stomp rockets will be used to explore different science and engineering areas through the scientific method. The fidget poppers have an array of possibilities to use in the classroom, especially spelling. The students can use the individual pops to sound out word to help with reading and spelling. All of these materials will be used for the enrichment of students in things they may never have experienced before in areas of STEM.
