STEM Learning

Help me give my students a STEM center to build and learn engineering skills with a comfortable area to learn. The rug will give them a space in the classroom to spread out and use the stem materials.

My Project

After teaching third grade for 19 years, I am moving to second grade. I would like for my new students to have a comfortable space in the classroom for learning. Students need a place in the school day to relax and move around. The rug will provide an area for students to build and learn with comfort.

This carpet area will also be used for whole group learning for all subjects taught in the classroom and will provide flexible seating during the instructional day.

Students will be able to work and learn with their peers in an open space for group activities as well.

The STEM materials will offer students the ability to practice and enhance their engineering ideas even at a young age. Having hands on materials and giving students the opportunity to explore is one of the best ways to encourage learning .
