STEM Learning Through Music Technology and Sound

My Project

My students love music exploration! I have chosen equipment for my project that will support STEM learning in my classroom this year. The science of sound, the technology-based equipment, the engineering of mixing beats and sound waves on a music board, and the math skills learned through music exploration will provide STEM skill growth in an alternative academic area, art and music, so they experience STEM skills beyond video games and computer screens.

SPECDRUMS rings, OTAMATONES, and MIXING BOARD learning will give my students STEM-based learning experiences that will provide inspiration for future career choices.

Students will create and work with partners, and provide opportunities to share their music technology creations with the class. These STEM activities will support career readiness and scientific creative exploration that is not normally experienced in their school day.
