This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
A good teacher can inspire hope, ignite the imagination, and instill a love of learning. Brad Henry
I work in a school in North Alabama; the majority of our students are middle to low income kids.
Our students range from low to upper class. Our kids love to have fun and learn.
We want to give every kid the opportunity the learn more, and be good at what they do. We want them to leave feeling successful in everything that they do.
My Project
Legos have always been an awesome brain game! They are interactive and inspire creativity. Legos are above and beyond with what the imagination can come up with! Look out world we are teaching engineers in the classroom!
Legos are a great source for learning STEM with my students.
Having lego sets in the classroom will allow students the opportunity to play and build with these wonderful learning blocks. These sets even include visual models so that children can learn to follow a plan, improve their visual motor skills, and create a project start to finish. By putting them out in stations, students will be able to access these legos. They will be able to work on engineering skills as they build following a visual model, they will explore their creativity as they build independently. They will do all of this while they feel like they are playing! Legos are great and my students will love them. They already love building with dominoes and brain flakes. This will be icing on the cake for them! Thank you for helping my classroom!
