I teach at a school where my students come to school with very little in their backpacks. My students come from low-income households. This would be a great opportunity for them to learn math, science, and social studies skills through STEM.
My students are very eager to learn.
They are very creative, and this would just be another tool to help them thrive in the classroom and beyond. This would help them share their ideas with others in a way that they might not do otherwise.
My Project
Most students learn better by doing it themselves, and with these manipulatives, my students will be better engaged during math lessons through a hands-on approach.
They will use the Double-Wide Teaching Easel along with the Magnetic Math Manipulatives Library to help better understand the concepts of math practices.
They will use the Giant Classroom Timer to make sure they and their classmates are staying on track by using their time wisely. The Heavy-Duty Electric Pencil Sharpener will be a great asset to our classroom because it will ensure that the students always have a pencil ready to show their work.
More than half of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
