I teach at a public charter school that was created for students with Autism, ADHD, and other special needs. My special students are making huge academic progress as they receive one-on-one leveled reading, math, social skills, and functional skills instruction. Many students makeover a year's worth of progress over the course of the school year. I have students in grades 4-6 that are working hard to make huge academic, social, functional, and sensory gains.
My students require various accommodations in the classroom and their instruction in order to meet their diverse academic, behavioral, social, and sensory needs in the classroom.
My students enjoy learning and work hard each day despite their differing abilities.
My Project
The global COVID pandemic has greatly impacted the learning of my students. My students are hands-on learners who benefit from specific instruction and play learning. Loss of class time and instruction during the pandemic has impacted them in many ways.
Help me give my students math manipulatives STEM activities and supplies to increase their learning.
My students are extremely interested in STEM activities love to build or use hands-on materials in their learning. The STEM kits, building kits, and math manipulatives will help them learn their own way.
