Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are special because they are full of life and hope. They are happy and energetic despite the area they live in. The neighborhood and school is in a low social economic area. The city doesn't provide many resource for the community, so my students are grateful for anything exciting or new that they experience.
These fourth and fifth grade students are caring and welcoming.
Throughout the day there are various special education students that mainstream into our classroom. My students make sure that everyone feels welcomed and part of the class and not just a visitor.
My Project
The STEM lab will improve my students' learning because they will ignite their critical thinking skills because they will be posed with a problem that they will need to solve on their. The STEM lab will provided an opportunity for my students to use their engineering skills. It is extremely important for my students to practice this way of thinking because it is a skill that is vital to their future.
The STEM lab will also improve their school lives.
They will be eager to come to class because they want to tackle their problem. They will try to do this by themselves so it's a great self-esteem booster.
