Help me give my students the opportunity with our high-class size and our new state science standards, to explore the world of STEM. by using the STEM force and motion and magnetism kits.
My students have different backgrounds, abilities, and styles. Despite all this they have a desire to learn more about the world around them, they are creative and curious students.
They love doing hands-on projects, cooperative learning groups, and using technology as well as manipulatives in our classroom.
Incorporating all of these things is the way in which I want my students to learn every day. I want to give them all the resources I can to help them become contributing members of society, who have the necessary skills to make a difference in this science and steam based world.
My Project
We have adopted new state standards for science that provide students with a more rigorous, and hands-on learning experience. The marble run and other force and motion tools will offer my students hands-on learning. They will be able to have rigorous tools to provide them with enriched science centers.
I want to be able to provide my students with manipulatives that will allow them experiences to think outside the box, and also use the scientific process.
I would love to the possibilities that they could create using the magnetic kits, as well as become a "detective" with clipboards in hand to think of solutions to problems we have using their new tools and imaginations! STEM is the future!
