This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have an amazing group of 20 PreK students! This year school is looking a lot different but we are going to make the best of it! Our school is a Title I school in a high-poverty area where all of our students receive free lunch and breakfast. Many of my students are learning English as a second language.

Despite all of this, my students are still eager learners.

They work hard every day by putting forth their best effort. They are so excited to learn each and every day!

My students are creative and love to learn!

My Project

These STEM items will bring so much learning to my classroom! They will give my students the opportunity to create, explore, problem-solve, and so much more!

When students are able to interact and create/problem-solve with materials hands-on, they reach a new height in learning!

The block scale will give them an opportunity to test and hypothesize about weight and size. The posters will be a great addition to the classroom by providing the students with visual ideas. The tree branch blocks will be a great tool to bring nature into the classroom. They will be able to build and create and also have fun!

All of these items will greatly enhance the STEM curriculum in my classroom! Students will be able to use their minds to the fullest!
