My students are always ready to try something new and because of that, I want to be a better teacher every day. Throughout the year I am teaching ten sections of STEM classes at four different grade levels in our middle school. My classes are STEM, Robotics, Digital Applications, and Pre-engineering design. I am loving all the unique learning that is happening. My classes have been filled with robotics, designing, planning, creating, building, critical thinking and so much more!
Design is a universal language where students can be as creative as they would like.
I want my students to be able to take designing as far as they want to.
Resin, gloves, Cricut mats, 3D print removers, and 3D print spray will be used in my 8th grade Fab Lab classes where they do free choice engineering design.
The hot glue, craft sticks, duct tape, cardboard scissors, cups, batteries, cotton balls, and rubber bands will be used in my 5th grade STEM classes to create STEM prototypes for challenges like zipline, mini golf, and roller coasters. My 5th grade students also get MakerSpace where they get to choose a station to work at and what to create and design. 6th and 7th grade also use these materials on their MakerSpace days.
My 6th grade students will also use the batteries in our WeDo robots.
Our school includes over sixty percent free or reduced-price lunch recipients. Together our community, parents, and staff work to get us everything we need. I am so grateful to have wonderful people like you also partnering with us to help get our students everything they so deserve.
