Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our young students are naturally curious about learning especially when it come to building things. These materials will provide students helpful resources to keep them engaged and learning about STEM. Participating in these activities may be what ultimately exposes them to future careers in the fields of STEM. When they finish building something they will feel special as they share with their peers how they used the engineering process to build their bridges, geometric structures or marble runs. They will explain their original design, building steps, problems they encountered and the modifications they made to improve their project.
While they play with these resources, they will also learn and enjoy yummy snacks.
In addition, they will receive pencil incentives on their birthdays or when they need encouragement. I can already envision their smiling faces when they see their new play and learning options.
