My Students
The students from my school live near one of the worst projects in the Bronx, New York. To keep them away from trouble, our middle school has tried to make our school family oriented. Students have expressed to many teachers that they feel safe staying at school longer. Many of our students are living in low poverty areas and view coming to this public school as a way to escape their home lives. Some don't even have homes to go to. We try our best to provide students with as much extra curricular activities. We are trying to create a safe zone for our students and give them the opportunity to experience things that they may never see one out of our school
My Project
When students are given the opportunity to use highly advanced technology, they become more involved in their learning. The use of the 3d printer will keep our students engaged as many have never used or seen one. With the endless amount of projects that can be done with a 3d printer, our STEM class would stand out from many others.
By donating to our project, you will be helping high needs students explore a world outside of the Bronx.
Students will have materials needed to complete various designs that can be used for STEM challenges. Students can become more creative and may design things that can be used for the future. Lets get our children more involved in the STEM world!
