My Students

Our school is a high priority Title 1 school where all students receive free breakfast and lunch. Despite their situation, our kindergarten students walk into the classroom smiling every morning and ready to learn.

When our students enter the room with such expectancy and it is my desire to put all of the resources into their hands that would make learning much easier for them.

Learning by doing is necessary and the resources would reinforce skills taught in reading and math.

My Project

Students will be using the STEM-related materials as a resource to help them to become critical thinkers and effective problem solvers, which will help them in all of the subject areas. This will be an opportunity for an all-hands-on-deck strategy to incorporate science, technology, engineering, and math throughout our day.

With this STEM bundle, our students will have increased exposure to all kinds of science and engineering materials in order to spark their imagination and become critical thinkers.

STEM is important for our students because it focuses on a student-centered learning. Students engage in questioning, problem solving, collaboration, and hands-on activities while they address real life issues.
