My students come from a wide variety of backgrounds, and 35% of the school population is economically disadvantaged. With the current situation that our country is facing with the pandemic, many of my students have been affected in some way. Many of my students' parents have been laid off from work and are now facing serious issues in the home.
As wonderful as it is to be with my students face-to-face during the school day and having them engage in physical activity during PE, this is a completely different situation, trying to find creative ways to have my students continue to be active physically from a distance is extremely frustrating.
I am looking for ways to continue to be the inspiration in their lives to have them continue with good health and fitness.
My Project
Integrating STEM in physical education will encourage students to build skills that need to become successful in the 21st century, and enthusiasm for the class will skyrocket!
Make little things big -- it's magic!
Because the digital projector's image is, in most classroom installations, limited only by the size of the screen available and the possible distance from that screen, it is important to think, quite simply, about cases in which students would benefit by being able to see something in a larger-than-life mode. Virtually all projectors make it possible to attach a video camera and display what the camera is seeing on the big screen.
In a high school physical education classes, my students will be able to watch videos of games and the importance and benefits of physical activities Physical activity stimulates brain growth, motor skills, and cognitive development. It improves learning and memory and helps children achieve better in school.
