My Students
I teach two half-day sessions of kindergarten, which means I will have a total of 50-58 students. I love teaching these eager and energetic kids! I'm excited to begin to introduce more S.T.E.M. and S.T.E.A.M. activities into my classroom. Every year I have students who speak other languages, come to school unprepared, and students who are right where they should be academically or even above grade level! It is a real challenge to make sure all the students are making progress and mastering all of the needed concepts.
Our school focuses on the mastery of literacy, mastery, and the arts.
My Project
These materials will make a difference in my student's lives because it will introduce them to coding and foster good working skills in groups! Most students do not have these materials at home and it is amazing that I would be able to provide them with an educational opportunity to learn with these resources.
The Ozobot will be used with a classroom volunteer supervising the group of engaged students!
The Lakeshore games will be used in classroom centers for students to independently explore STEM concepts. Students love LEGOs and by having the LEGO STEM activity box then it will guide their play towards educational concepts.
