Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I have a total of 54 amazing students that are in the Dual Immersion Program. They are in their 3rd year of learning Spanish.
It is such a rewarding feeling listening to them when they speak in Spanish or when they are solving math problems as a team in Spanish.
Listening to my students speak in Spanish is the best part of my day! All of these brains are working double because they are learning in a second language.
My Project
Students love learning hands on. STEM activities also motivate students in their learning. These STEM kits will enhance my students learning in our DLI classroom.
STEM will give my students more learning experiences.
They will learn to explore on their own and explore the reasoning behind why things happen.
Students love Science because they get to do experiments. I want to make math a subject that they want to learn more about by using STEM. Math can also be fun, they just need a little more hands on experiences and tools.
