My Project

Having various manipulatives in the classroom is a great way to give students a variety of tools and ways to help them begin solving math and science problems.

As a class, we have great whole group discussions about equations, unknown parts, missing sums, and a multitude of science experiments and the different strategies we can use to solve them.

It always amazes me the types of solutions their young minds come up with. The strategies they figure out when given the appropriate materials and the many opportunities are always astounding.

Having some counting tools for math, and some flashlights to learn more about our science unit light, will be essential to their continuous growth and love of learning.
