My Students
My students come from a variety of backgrounds in a growing community. We are a classroom of readers, achievers, and dreamers. They are curious and creative and love to learn.
We celebrate our classmate's unique abilities and encourage one another to be the best version of ourselves.
We work hard and we try our best. They are always helping one another, encouraging one another, and supporting one another. They are active participants in their learning and they constantly have a growth mindset.
My Project
This project will allow for new STEM resources to be added to our classroom. STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. STEM is important because it exercises a variety of skills like problem-solving, critical thinking, and teamwork. STEM time is some of my student's favorite parts of the day. They look forward to the time they get to engage in hands-on learning. As a second-year teacher, I am trying my best to add STEM resources to my classroom so they can be used for years to come.
These supplies will be implemented in my science and math daily centers.
We do daily math centers for 40 minutes a day, as well as free-choice time on Fridays. Students are able to self select their choice of materials and begin creating. They LOVE this time and your donations would be greatly appreciated!
