it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our students are creative, active, loving, full of questions, and inspiring! They absolutely enjoy fun, hands-on activities in our inclusion classroom.
They are active learners who need hands-on activities throughout the day in order to allow them to explore and interact with one another.
Early Childhood Education is the focus of our school. We offer bus services that bring students from all over the city with different backgrounds and challenges. About 90% of my students come from low-income families. Although my students are exposed to different learning strategies and are constantly on the go while learning, they need hands-on activities and a safe environment that allows them to focus and emerge as strong readers. By having this extra support we will be able to provide them with opportunities to meet their needs. These preschoolers are really an amazing group that fills my day with their smiles, questions, and original ideas.
My Project
My preschool students are naturally curious. These microscopes will introduce them to a new world and stimulating love of science. These STEM materials will add valuable experiences and will allow students to find their own answers about the world around them. Providing students with great images that they could share and talk about can add greater depth and intrigue for future scientists.
Magnetic shapes and Tangrams are an important part of STEM, specifically to geometry.
The students will become confident in understand geometry and how geometric shapes can be decomposed and recomposed into new shapes. Also, it helps aid visual spatial perception skills as students learn how to manipulate the shapes.
Second, it builds visual-spatial skills as kids learn how to manipulate the shapes.
