Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our classroom serves incredible high school students, including those in grades 9–12 and in our 18+ transition program for students with disabilities. Many of these young adults are learning vital life and vocational skills as they prepare for life beyond high school. In our low-income community, access to cutting-edge, hands-on STEM tools is extremely limited—but your support can change that.
This project will bring a specialized STEM machine into our classroom that will allow students to explore real-world applications of science, technology, engineering, and math through vocational projects.
From 3D printing and coding to basic mechanics and design, this machine will help students develop job-readiness skills that are essential in today's workforce.
For many of our students—especially those with disabilities—this will be their very first opportunity to work with advanced technology and tools that mirror real-world workplaces. It’s more than a machine; it’s a bridge to confidence, independence, and a future with purpose.
By supporting this project, you’re not only providing a unique learning experience—you’re helping to level the playing field and open doors to meaningful opportunities these students might not otherwise have. This STEM resource will empower them to build, create, problem-solve, and dream big—skills they’ll carry with them long after graduation.
