This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
"Have you ever worked so hard in school and then after the work is done you wanted to do something fun and educational? Well, here is it. There is a new game called Cup Stacking and my students love it.
Entering middle school can be such a challenge for kids.
Our kids come from low to middle income housing. They have the biggest hearts, but sometimes they don't show it. I think that my students have amazing possibilities in life, if they just try and accomplish the tasks at hand - and they can do it!
My Project
How does this work?
In Speed Stacks, teams or individuals stack and unstack 12 specially-designed cups in predetermined sequences and race against each other or work on their personal best, allowing for inclusion of students of all abilities.
What are studies saying about this great game?
A recent university study has proven that sport stacking improves hand-eye coordination and reaction time by up to 30%! Now, nearly 6,000 schools around the world have Speed Stacks programs that their students are loving. Speed stacking is great for ambidexterity, quickness and concentration, while using both sides of their bodies and brains. These skills transfer to other sports, playing a musical instrument, computer typing and more.
I can see it now---my kids feeling good about themselves because they are having fun learning and growing self-confidence too!!!
Thank you for looking at my proposal!
Donors Choose and people like you have been VERY good to me and my classroom! Thank you for making all of these things possible!
May God bless you!
