This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
All of my students are unique and learn in different ways and at different rates. I have students in Transitional Kindergarten through sixth grade. Some students need help in Language Arts and/or Mathematics. They receive help in the areas they have most difficulty with.
The students are all excited about learning new things and being successful.
The students know that they are important, cared for and loved here at school. They are proud of their accomplishments. All students are making progress.
My Project
Most of my students miss out on a lot of opportunities that other children take for granted. Some students do not own any type of building block sets at home. By allowing them to have a quiet break after completing a task it will motivate them to complete more assignments in class.
These Lego sets will allow the students to practice building and creating their own creations.
The Lego sets are a wonderful way to practice following a model/example and to also follow directions. They allow them to practice critical thinking skills and improve their fine motor skills.
The light up board is also a fun way for them to be creative in class while not disrupting the learning environment of the the other students.
