Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My class of 4th grader are interested in building community in the classroom. They are working on a unit called “Systems”. Within this unit the are learning about systems in STEM. They are learning how things belong and what happens when systems fall apart. They are learning why systems are necessary.
Communities in STEM are important to my students in most aspects of life.
As students learn about these communities in science they are making connections to their everyday experiences. These sets will help the scholars make more connections that build relationships and community around them.
