My Project

I teach an amazing group of students at an amazing school. Hearing students apply new vocabulary and providing them the opportunity to experience the application of curriculum makes learning last over time. The selected materials were chosen because of the STEM topics we cover in 4th grade. Students will be learning about different sciences, and they currently work in groups of 6-8 students. With these selected STEM kits, they will be able to work in groups of 3-4. In the 4th grade classroom, every learning topic students engage in has an engineering project to go with it, which makes learning memorable and enjoyable.

These selected STEM and learning materials will be used to encourage student engagement in learning for the rest of the year.

I selected a couple of circle tables because students also enjoy moving around while they learn. I currently have one circle table, and it is everyone's favorite place to work and learn. The rest of the materials were selected as classroom rewards, to keep them motivated and interested while testing. Selected brain-based toys encourage critical thinking skills. The Mantis Shrimp game will be used to teach students how to regulate their emotions. Lastly, I write notes to students, and would like some colorful pens, to make them feel special.
