This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
"Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn." Benjamin Franklin.
Life as a 7th grader can be exciting and fun. I want to offer to best of both worlds to them through these awesome STEM projects. Get ready world here we come.
Entering middle school can be such a challenge for kids.
Our kids come from low to middle income housing. They have the biggest hearts, but sometimes they don't show it. I think that my students have amazing possibilities in life, if they just try and accomplish the tasks at hand - and they can do it!
I want to open the window of opportunity that allows them to see outside the boundaries of our neighborhood to the exciting jobs that can happen in their lives. A career in a STEM field (science, technology, engineering, mathematics) can only take them to a future they deserve.
My Project
Let's see what we can build today. Wow, how cool would it be to build race cars, airplanes, and animals with these cool blocks and lights in these STEM building car sets. In our class we will be doing all of it. Coming up with unique projects to show what we are learning in the sciences, technology, engineering, and math. These supplies will help enhance our learning through the STEM projects by teaching them how to think and greatly enrich their futures outside the classroom, which is the ultimate goal.
I want to thank you for reading my proposal.
I love my job and I love learning with my kids. That is exactly what will be happening in my classroom, we will be learning together. I look forward to seeing those smiling faces as we learn. I want to thank you for helping a classroom of worthy students and teacher.
