This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This school year I started with only seven 2nd and 3rd grade students, this week my classroom grew by four students in kindergarten and 1st grade. As I see all of my students working and learning together it is amazing to see the older more experienced students assist their newer and younger classmates.
These new learning materials will assist the newer younger students in learning the concepts of building with the stand up building center and building blocks set.
The light table sensory tray and sensory beads/materials will assist all of the students in exploring materials and light through observation and tactile exploration.
For all of my students, using tactile and sensory exploration will open up their curiosity in science and mathematics learning, using building blocks and the stand up building center will allow them to learn the concepts of space and gravity as well as enhance their fine motor skills and hand eye coordination.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
