My Project
As an educator teaching 100 bright minds in a predominantly African American district, I have witnessed the thirst for knowledge and curiosity within my students. Despite our limited 40-minute class periods, I have managed to ignite a passion for science through engaging project-based learning activities such as labs and interactives. It is inspiring to see how many of my students express a genuine interest in science beyond the school walls, seeking opportunities for further exploration. Therefore, I am excited to introduce the concept of a STEM bin library this year. This innovative initiative will offer students the chance to check out curated boxes filled with instructions for stimulating STEM projects and experiments that they can carry out at home or during free time. By creating this resource, my aim is not only to nurture their interest in STEM but also to empower and inspire the budding scientists within them. Together, let's continue to fuel their curiosity and enthusiasm for the wonders of science!
