My Project
STEM bins are so important in a fifth grade classroom. They will be used by all my students to help to build their creativity and imagination. During group work time, the bins will promote collaboration, speaking/ listening, and teamwork. Additionally, I will store them in my “cool down” area to promote anger management and thinking time.
My goal is to use these STEM bins in different areas of my classroom to help promote engineering, collaboration, and the arts.
My school is a Title 1 school and many of my students come from poverty. Opportunities to build and create are not something that occur often for my students.
