Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am looking for Spheros, cases for them, and an iPad workstation that will have a keyboard and Apple pencil for additional lessons.
The goal of the project is to allow students a space to come up with creative ways of solving a problem.
With the Spheros, students will be able to create code/programs that will navigate them through obstacles that I have laid out. The iPad station will be where the Sphero app will run from, students will also have access to create a plan for solving their problem. Students will be able to use the keyboard to help type notes in the code as they learn about block coding. The Apple pencil will be vital as they take notes on what their code should look like or as they sketch out their plans.
My wonderful students are 90% ENL and we are getting a lot of asylum seekers, and they all deserve to learn in a 21st century environment!
