My students need these LEGO materials to excel in S.T.E.M. These LEGO kits will inspire and bring excitement to S.T.E.M. learning in my second grade classroom.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My second grade scholars are excited about school! My 30 second graders are the best and I want them to achieve in this fast paced world. However, because of where they live they do not have a real opportunity to buy supplies to feel safe and be able to learn without worrying about how to do homework or where to put their school supplies. I teach in a high poverty area with few to no school resources and it is important for Second graders to be able to enjoy school as a safe loving place without worrying that they do not have what they need to be successful.
My Project
The LEGO kits I am requesting for my second grade scholars will bring excitement to math and science. My second graders come from high poverty and rarely have the opportunity to use hands on learning at home so I want to provide it in our classroom. These LEGO kits will be used in class by second grade scholars to create geometric shapes, learn about fractions, count, compare and contrast and just for fun exploring and building. In science, students will explore engineering through building a variety of structures. Please help my second graders learn that learning math and science can be fun, exciting, and challenging.
