My Project
Students in my high school creative writing class must put down their phones and think about how they can use their own creativity to bring characters and stories to life. Students think about how they can build a world for their characters which is unique to their own imagination. After brainstorming ideas student land on one setting of their story.
This project will allow students hands-on ways to turn storytelling in creative writing into STEM by researching, and using scientific details (like measurement, structure, function) to build a model of their imagined world.
