My Project

My elementary School is a Title I school which means that a large percentage of the students come from low-income families. With this being said, a lot of my children come from broken homes and are in need of love and educational help. My students are creative, thoughtful and full of questions! They absolutely love hands-on, active, engaging projects and challenges that allow them to take charge and feel empowered.

This year my class would benefit from having more STEM in their day, and making that STEM time fun!

The resources in this project, like the Code and Go Set, the Magna-Tiles, and the Straw Constructor Toys, will allow myself to group students according to their level of STEM knowledge. Once students are grouped and given the materials the goal is to provide them with something they can independently do to grow their knowledge STEM and what it entails. I have included build materials, coding bots, and more activities to boost all students in the class to reach the goal of successfully completing STEM activities independently at the end of the year.
