My Students

I teach first grade in South Carolina. I haven't met this year’s students yet, but if they are anything like my previous classes, they will be the best students in the school! Every year, I've been blessed with curious little minds and creative imaginations. My very diverse group of students always come to class with a smile and ready to learn. My class will always serve as a safe place to make new friends while enjoying new experiences through our learning activities. I know they will always show enthusiam for hands on learning in an environment supporting their individual learning styles. I am requesting STEM kits to develop their higher level thinking.

My Project

I am requesting a donation toward the purchase of 3 STEM kits to use in our small groups. STEM aids in the development of much needed thinking skills to succeed in school. When students think to create STEM projects, they are teaching their brains to use higher level thinking skills, problem solve, and create. I hope to inspire my young students to create and invent. This kind of thinking will increase the students’ chance to succeed in the upper grades. I want all my current and future students to succeed.
