I am a Speech Therapist servicing students K-5 with a variety of language and communication needs. My students come from diverse backgrounds with speech goals targeting everything from receptive/ expressive language to attention and articulation. They enjoy coming to speech and participating in the activities but they each need varying levels of support. I do my best to keep them engaged throughout the session while teaching them strategies and addressing their individual needs.
I am a new SLP and have limited supplies.
Teachers Pay Teachers has several resources that will be useful in my speech room such as anchor charts and graphic organizers. My students enjoy reading books and are often motivated by activities including their favorite characters. Resources like book companions are great for literacy-based therapy. They keep the children engaged and can be used with most of my students to target an array of goals.
The speech department was lucky enough to be donated a printer through my colleagues' previous Donor's Choose project. However, we are in need of paper in order to supply students with printed materials.
